1. The sentencing court did not err in disregarding Community Corrections' recommendation regarding restitution because restitution is an intermediate sanction pursuant to Minn. Stat. Â§ 609.135, subd. 1 (1994); 2. The sentencing court did not err in including ""counter-abduction"" expenses in restitution imposed pursuant to Minn. Stat. Â§ 609.26, subd. 4 (1994) where the statute unambiguously provides that the sentencing court ""may assess any expense incurred in returning the child"" (emphasis added); 3. An order of restitution for $147,251.27 determined pursuant to Minn. Stat. Â§ 611A.045 (1994) was not error because the court considered appellant's resources when it imposed the $200 per month payment schedule. Heard, considered, and decided by the court en banc.
